Not sure what the etiquette is for calling individual players out during a conference, but I feel like that would be a good way to get the best answer out of #8.
Something like: "Beau Atkinson has as many personal fouls as he does tackles this season and has not been playing well, why does he continue to see so much playing time over guys like Khary Wilder or Epi Sitanilei who have to 'continue earning trust,' what has Beau done to so confidently earn that trust in the staff?"
Assuming you don't get the first question, and one of these valid questions is already in the ether with a non-response from Day, I'd want you to actively call out the non-reaponse and demand an actual answer.
Does watching a freshman tight end drag his nuts over your collective defense’s forehead make you rethink your strategy to both not pay for NFL tight ends while making them the foundation of your offense? Do you not have a go to 2 point play going into every game? Do you understand an overtime game quickly goes into two point plays now? Are you aware that the gentleman writing this comment is starting to lose faith in your ability to lead this program?
Can we ask if the TEs are playing up to the standard Day expects (and when he says no) then question why there is so many multiple TE packages and why Bailey doesn't have them playing to the standard?
Don't forget when asking about the offensive line, late in camp he said "they feel like their walking or water" or something very close to that. 28 pressures later, how should we feel
Question 3 is an extremely important one, and structured in a way that allows him to be honest, without blaming others.
Question 25 is similarly important but may force him into a defensive corner.
What about, “What do you and your coaching staff do to prepare for possible in-game adjustments for times when your original game plan isn’t working? And, how do you use games like these as data points to adjust your overall philosophy for coaching in big games?”
Great list, Doug. Would love if you have time to put a little data into your penalties question. This feels like it has been a problem all year not just against USC and I don't want to hear him spin it into a backup QB thing.
Question: You gave up play-calling and OC duties in part to be better with game management. Do you think game management is an advantage for Ohio State over other teams?
I’d ask if they regret not spending on difference makers they were close to getting as high school recruits, and if the money saved was able to spent in a useful way elsewhere. Having Marquise Lightfoot, Justin Scott or Jordan Seaton on this roster makes everything easier.
Since slow play clearly isn’t preventing injuries and doesn’t provide enough meaningful plays at the end of the game for 2nd teamers, why not go back to a tempo offense to keep defenses on the field and wear them out and give your offense more opportunities to score?

Just brainstorming, great list of questions
Is that a real stat? More personal fouls than tackles is crazy.
I hope question 3 gets asked in particular. It's spot on. Tim May can probably ask four of these at once if you read him in ahead of time, LOL.
Love these questions. For Q2, would love you (or someone) to back up the sneak question with this insane stat:
"Since at least 2000, no NFL team has ever been stopped on four consecutive one yard sneaks within the same set of downs."

#5, #11, and #18 need to be 1, 2, and 3 in my opinion. Those seem to be the most critical questions.

I couldn’t care less about the Bjork/Riley situation, that has no impact on the team’s performance. All other questions feel pertinent

Coaching adjustments were made after the Texas loss. Is this USC loss a result of those changes not coming to fruition or are these new problems?
