COLUMBUS — Ohio State is favored by 3.5 points over Indiana on Saturday, with an over-under of 50.5 points. That’s the baseline as Tyler Shoemaker and I addressed this game from a betting angle on Betting the Buckeyes.
An interesting point made by TShoe — the sports books are not eager to take bets on the Buckeyes at only -3. According to the Vegasinsider.com line movement chart, this line was Ohio State -1.5 in the summer, but it got to -4 very early in the week. It dropped to 3.5 and then hit Ohio State -3 twice, but it didn’t stay at that number for longer than 90 minutes. If you got Ohio State -3, great. But this has settled at 3.5.
The TShoe Index has Ohio State as favored by 1.5, with a total of around 50. So a predicted score by those measures would be around 26-24 Ohio State.
