COLUMBUS — It’s Week 3 of Betting the Buckeyes as Tyler Shoemaker joins Doug Lesmerises to talk about the Ohio State Buckeyes from a betting perspective.
The Buckeyes are favored by 52.5 points over Kent State, with the over-under at 59.5 points and honestly, it’s hard to get a read on the game from a betting perspective. This is the last game of the year where the bet is really about trying to read Ryan Day’s mind and figure out what he wants from the game.
So maybe the most interesting discussion here is about how Ohio State’s 24-23 loss to Texas did, and did not, affect how the Buckeyes and Longhorns are viewed in a power rating formula.
There’s some talk about where the Buckeyes fit into the national title betting picture and the Big Ten race, and some talk about how TShoe picks from early in the week on Houston-Texas Tech and SMU-Louisville are looking right now.
