Our worries prior to Sayin injury: Lack of pass rush. Offensive line concerns. Run game not explosive. Take that, and add in, young, inexperienced, small qb, as well as, a couple more injuries. Just not sure we can overcome all of that.

Sayin played his worst game as a Buckeye and we beat Indy. If Fahey/St Clair's best is as good as Sayin's worst, we'll be OK.

I wish/hope I'm wrong but I think Day and the coaches have backed themselves in to a corner of which there is no good escape. There's no way that anyone thinks that Fahey is going to be good enough to be the starter past this season. He was brought in to be a career back up but because TSC either hasn't been coached well or hasn't taken the coaching well himself he isnt the option everyone expected him to be.

Due to the above statements they have no good plan moving forward. TSC is gone after this year pretty clearly after being past by a undersized true freshman. Fahey won't be the answer. Maybe can hope Sayin comes back to OSU healthy which isn't a guarantee or they have to go get an overpriced transfer to come in.

After starting 6 games Fahey will feel he should be the starter cause he was chosen to start for the rest of the season and so he will transfer and get an overpriced offer to go start somewhere else. OSU then will go in to next year with a transfer/Sayin and Brady Edmunds as the 2 quarterbacks on scholarship...

Sounds like a disaster is upcoming but this is still Ohio State so they will maybe get something figured out for next year. Just sucks for JJ and the rest of the 2026 team.

With all respect, you have no idea whether Fahey is the answer. Let the kid play. Maybe he doesn’t work out. Maybe he’s Brock Purdy. I suspect his first couple games will be tough while he gets used to the speed of the game. After that we’ll see. I’m rooting for him to succeed. 2027 will take care of itself

If you listen to many different people in the beat and players who join them at times, you hear that he is a game manager and he may he be able to get through a drive or a game or 2. I have never heard a single person ever say he can be the long term solution. I clearly do not know what the issue is with TSC inside the woody but people have continued to say that his long term outlook could still be very high level.

As a fan of this program I wish him the best and would be love for him to light the world on fire while carrying this team to the promise land.

I kind of wonder if they think the competition is close between the two right now, should you roll with TSC? I think the run game has not been good so far, it's not going to get better with Fahey, which will not help him. Change the offense to include more QB run and make the opposing defense defend run more to help open up the pass game.

If the run game was top 15 in the nation, I'd say Fahey. With a mid run game, I'd imagine Fahey will struggle similar to Sayin and the ceiling is low for the offense.

I haven't heard that Sayin has a UCL injury in his elbow, but if he did, any idea the surgery recovery timeline? I'm hoping it's not the 12-18 months that occurs with baseball pitchers!
