When the Big Ten announced the addition of West Coast schools USC, UCLA, Washington and Oregon to the conference starting in 2024, the Ducks immediately emerged as the team most capable of shopping for real estate in Ohio State’s neighborhood. They don’t have the championship history of the Buckeyes, but they are new money and have operated as such since Dan Lanning’s arrival in Eugene in 2022.
