Ohio State adds Earl Little Jr., a veteran, versatile Florida State safety
The Buckeyes bolstered their secondary with an addition on Saturday.

COLUMBUS — Ohio State is looking to replace the experience and production of safety Caleb Downs and nickel Lorenzo Styles Jr. in its secondary. On Saturday, the Buckeyes landed a transfer who could help in both areas.
Earl Little Jr., a versatile, experienced defensive back from Florida State, has committed to Ohio State, choosing to stick in college for another year rather than turn pro. Little had previously announced that he’d be entering the 2026 NFL Draft. Instead, he’ll look to enhance his draft stock in Columbus.
