COLUMBUS — Second thoughts on Ohio State’s win over Iowa after rewatching the All-22 film.

1. When Ohio State landed Qua Russaw out of the portal, I watched a decent number of his Alabama games. I didn’t watch them all, so I’m probably not qualified to say this definitively, but that felt like the best game of his career.

His five tackles were the second-most he’s had in a game. The 1.5 tackles for loss were the most. His one sack was just the third of his career. I’ll start with his sack in the first half. It was a good piece of team defense from the Buckeyes.

Iowa found some early passing success by attacking Ohio State’s man coverage and picking individual defenders to spring open receivers. The Hawkeyes tried the same thing on this third-down play, but the Buckeyes were in zone and traded off the routes well, leaving quarterback Hank Brown without a quick, easy read. Meanwhile, Russaw bullied the right tackle.
