Ohio State lands Wisconsin transfer Christian Alliegro, adds experience to LB room
Analyzing what the Buckeyes' new linebacker addition brings to the table.

COLUMBUS — Ohio State was expected to return only 401 snaps worth of experience at the linebacker position, and most of that comes courtesy of Payton Pierce’s 294 snaps over the last two seasons.
The Buckeyes needed to add experience. They found it in former Wisconsin linebacker Christian Alliegro, who committed to Ohio State on Thursday.
The 6-foot-4, 247-pound senior has one season of eligibility remaining and brings 881 snaps worth of experience to Matt Patricia’s defense. Over three seasons with the Badgers, Alliegro posted 124 tackles, 14 tackles for loss and eight sacks.
