Ohio State nearly doubles NFL players in the last decade

The number of Buckeyes in the pros for the 2025 season is approaching 60.

COLUMBUS — It wasn’t always this way.

“I think we’re somewhere in the mid-50s in terms of Buckeyes in the NFL right now,” Ohio State coach Ryan Day said Tuesday. “Maybe there’s teams that have more, but the guys that we have, just really proud of what they’ve done.

“I think when you look at the development of our team, I won’t compare it to other programs, but I’d put it up against anybody in the country.”
