Ohio State won’t run the ball this much again
Excluding kneel-downs and including quarterback sneaks, Brian Hartline called a run on 60 percent of Ohio State’s plays against Texas. Hartline and head coach Ryan Day’s game plan was to limit the exposure of first-time starting quarterback Julian Sayin, control the clock — the Buckeyes possessed the ball for more than 32 minutes — and put it on the defense to secure the win.
