COLUMBUS — Notes, nuggets and thoughts from Ohio State’s Pro Day on Wednesday.

• Carnell Tate ran a route during receiver drills that went viral in the spectacularly dumb way that things tend to go viral at this point of the NFL Draft process. In executing what looked like a pretty flawless speed cut — but, to someone who doesn’t know what they’re looking at, may have appeared to be a rounded top end of the route — Tate got caught up in the social media silliness that’s unavoidable this time of year.

There’s a WR1 debate in this draft class. It could be Tate. It could be Arizona State’s Jordan Tyson. It could be USC’s Makai Lemon. Factions form. People post stupid stuff on social media.

In reality, Tate’s workout on Wednesday was pretty dialed.
