COLUMBUS — Additional thoughts on Ohio State’s 34-10 win at Purdue after rewatching the game.

1. Sonny Styles rules.

No, really. If he weren’t playing next to Arvell Reese, there would be a lot of people saying that Styles is the best linebacker in the country. The progress he’s made from starting at linebacker for the first time last year up until now is remarkable. Styles’ issue is that he doesn’t have gaudy tackle numbers, a byproduct of a few things: Ohio State’s defensive linemen make a lot of tackles themselves, OSU opponents only averaged 55 plays per game, and the Buckeye defensive starters play even fewer than that.
