Ohio State's 2024 recruiting class is on the way out, while an Ohio University tight end is on the way in

COLUMBUS — Urban Meyer used to say that the first two years of a player’s development were on the coaches and the third year was on the player. Year 3 was go time — a player had to make that happen for himself.
Right now for the Buckeyes in the transfer portal, Year 3 really is go time.
With receiver Mylan Graham entering the transfer portal on Sunday, the Buckeyes are prepared to see six of their top nine recruits from the Class of 2024 leave campus before getting to Year 3.
Quarterback Air Noland (No. 56 recruit in 2024 by the 247sports composite) left last season. Since the transfer portal opened Friday, five more Class of 2024 members have signaled intentions to leave Ohio State: WR Graham (No. 33), CB Aaron Scott (No. 36), CB Bryce West (No. 64), RB James Peoples (No. 115), and DL Dominic Kirks (No. 163).
Of them, only Peoples saw a major role this season, and he began the year sharing the running back duties, but then gave way to freshmen Bo Jackson and Isaiah West. The others maybe were part of the two-deep, but nothing more.
For a school like Ohio State, that’s the transfer portal.
