COLUMBUS — The Ohio State Buckeyes are 6-10 all-time when facing the No. 1 team in the country. The wins?

Wisconsin in 1952, Purdue in 1968, Iowa in 1985, Miami in the national title game in the 2002 season, Alabama in the playoff semifinal in the 2014 season, and Oregon in the playoff last season.

The last eight OSU matchups against No. 1 were on the road or at neutral postseason sites. So when the Texas Longhorns hit the field on Saturday, they’ll be the first opposing No. 1 team in the Shoe since the Hawkeyes 40 years ago.
