Really worried that Penn State gets up off the mat and finds motivation for this one that they may have lacked the past few weeks, at least defensively. The three-TD spread feels much too large against a team with Penn State's talent.
It's an interesting dynamic, but I think the fact that PSU is still talented will help OSU avoid a sleepy performance you might otherwise get against a 3-4 team
It all depends which Penn St team shows up. If it's the preseason national championship contender loaded with NFL talent, then it's going to be a game. If it's the team that's fallen apart and lost hope, then it could easily be a blowout. I feel that it will depend a lot on what happens early. If the Buckeyes get up a couple of scores in the first quarter then the game will be over.
Has Donaldson actually earned the spot of short yardage back? I thought he did well in that role in one of the early games, but otherwise hasn’t been noticeable, in a bad way. Do coaches see something else, or perhaps it’s actually about ball security and he’s the least likely to fumble based on practices and games?
Great read Bill. You and Doug are killing it. Best Ohio State coverage and insight. Not even close.
Excellent analysis. Thanks for this Substack. You provide great insights and interesting takes on the Buckeyes.
