COLUMBUS — We outlined what we’ll be watching when Ohio State opens preseason camp Thursday at 9 AM.

We’ll do it knowing the Buckeyes are the betting favorites to win the national title. They hold that slight edge on both Draft Kings and FanDuel, an acknowledgement about the status of the program right now.
The Buckeyes are +600 on Draft Kings, with Notre Dame, Oregon, Texas, Indiana and Georgia behind them at +650 to +850.
They are +550 on FanDuel, with Notre Dame, Oregon, Texas, Georgia and Indiana between +650 and +950. That’s a clear Top 6, with the Buckeyes getting the edge maybe because they’re so famous and popular. But it also might be because people believe in what Ohio State is doing overall, beyond the specifics of a single season’s roster.
