Have to move on from Diebler, bring in an experienced coach like Josh Schertz, and supply him with everything he needs to succeed

Great idea, if you can win at Indiana State and Saint Louis you can win here. I'm sure Bjork will just be cheap and keep saying Diebler is doing a great job

It's so disappointing to see the program fail to inspire enthusiasm. I used to be a season ticket holder, starting in St. John Arena and then for the first ten or so years in the Schott. Eventually, the prices kept rising and it was hard to justify the expense. Now it's been several years since I've been to a game. And when I have gone, the atmosphere is just not great. The building could be rocking back in the early Thad years, but the combination of facility and product on the court just leaves a lot to be desired right now. I wish it were different.

Good write up. I voted "somewhat interested" for basketball in the recent "What do you want us to cover?" poll but I would read good articles like this about the basketball team. And Bill's coverage of the Michigan game was good.

Very disappointing run. I very much want to see a more competitive team. Makes it worse seeing how quickly Michigan turned it around after Howard.

You are right Doug it is unacceptable. I cringed a little when Jardy said it was "complicated" because it's not. I'm glad Bill pushed back on the Holtman narrative about the 2020 team that was 12-8 in the big ten like it was some juggernaut. Bjork had the chance to hire Dusty May before Michigan and Calipari literally asked about the job and Bjork said no to that as well. Sure Calipari costs more than Diebler, well I guarantee attendance would be higher so you make some of that money back. Sometimes you have to spend $ to make $

Diebler is not the coach they need for sure.

That 2020-21 team was so fun to watch. No excuse for losing to ODU - given the caliber of team we had beaten, we should’ve taken care of business. That team should’ve broken this drought. Alas, here we are - rudderless. Looking forward to seeing if that Thompson kid can make a difference
