IOWA CITY, Iowa — Ohio State tight ends wore the NFL jerseys of former Ohio State tight ends when the team checked into the hotel for preseason camp in August.

Max LeBlanc was Max Klare.

Nate Roberts was Will Kacmarek.

Brody Lennon was Jeremy Ruckert.

Bennett Christian was Cade Stover.

How did this event occur? An organized Amazon purchase? A miracle of tight end coincidence?

Back then, I asked Mason Williams if he participated, unaware that he had been left out of the positional jersey jamboree. Felt kind of bad for asking, like I was rubbing it in.

“No, sadly, I didn't get to,” he said. “They gave it to the people who played with them here.”

Who gave it? Who organized it?
