COLUMBUS — Jeremiah Smith will set every major Ohio State receiving record this season assuming everything goes as expected.
He needs 43 catches to pass Emeka Egbuka for the most career receptions. He is currently No. 7 in Ohio State history with 163, while Egbuka leads with 205.
He needs 341 yards to pass Michael Jenkins for the most receiving yards in OSU history. He is currently No. 8 at 2,558 yards, while Jenkins has 2,898.
He needs nine touchdowns to pass Chris Olave’s current record of 35 TD receptions. Smith is at 27.
It should be a smashing season.
