What are some impossible Ohio State debates? Send in your topics for the next show
Doug and Bill plan to talk this out next week.

COLUMBUS — Imagine an Ohio State debate where 50 percent of fans would be on one side of the issue and 50 percent on the other. Consider the kind of discussion where at the end of a fun night with your Buckeye friends, you’d have to head home agreeing to disagree.
We want to talk about those. Not necessarily yell about them, but debate them until we reach … no conclusion.
Impossible Ohio State debates is the plan for the next Wednesday show. The idea is to gather your suggestions and then put out polls early next week where we ask the questions.
The most successful topics should wind up with 50 percent of you voting one way and 50 percent voting the other.
Here are some ideas I have so far:
• Who was the better Ohio State quarterback, or which quarterback would you take again for one game or one season: Justin Fields or C.J. Stroud?
• Was J.T. Barrett the kind of quarterback you’d want at Ohio State again? The recent discussion around Barrett has been intriguing. We need to work on the wording here. It’s basically around the idea that Barrett was good, but how good? He’s on one hand an all-time Buckeye legend and on the other hand a guy people were ready to see leave so Dwayne Haskins could play. It’s trying to find the right 50-50 question in there.
• Which era was better — the Jim Tressel Era or the Urban Meyer Era? I asked this on Around the Shoe on Tuesday because it has popped up for us recently. I’m eager to get into this deeper with the dedicated and educated.
• What should Ohio State do at quarterback in 2027? This is the potential Julian Saying vs. Tavien St Clair discussion that we have said exists only to make us crazy at the moment. However, if we are couching it under the umbrella of Impossible Debates, I think it gives us cover to drive ourselves crazy but in a fun way.
I know there are other good ones out there, which is where you guys come in.
There might be something around the Barrett-Cardale Jones quarterback choice in 2015. We know the situation was handled poorly, but what ultimately was the right call?
We’re open to anything beyond football, too. There might be something about basketball, or the Big Ten as a whole, or the administration of the OSU athletic department. (Was Gene Smith a good AD? That might get some discussion.)
Is there something with the Michigan game that could get people debating? Maybe whether it should ever be played at night?
So, thanks as always for your help here. The best way to make suggestions is to put them at the bottom of this post. Like I said, we’ll then get those questions back out to you next week to vote.

Is it better to watch a Buckeyes game buzzed or sober?
Would you rather Michigan be undefeated going into the game or lose every game? I personally root for them to lose every week but I know others who want them to be as great as possible going into the game to maximize the pain if we beat them.
